i see,many question about it and this is my awnser for that





in Mexico lucha libre its a national folklore, and over the years kids from mexico like it ,specialy when they use a mask, for a kid ,its to see a real super hero figthing vs evil characters. not as you seen it on tv , thisones fly ,and alot of crazy stunts


like know one this days (Mistico) ,he also signe with the WWE i think in u.s.a so you guys are gonea see the tipic mexican wrestler thats kids will love,





there are many ways to figth and take over other wrestler pride


+Mask vs Mask (means the looser take out his mask )


+Mascara vs cabellera(mask vs long hair)


if the mask, loose he take it off and his identity will be reveald


if the hair guy loose,they cut his hair till levehem bold


+ and te classic chalenge its the belt


*conclusion its that mexicans wrestlers that use a mask its to stay on the mexican wrestler as super hero that defeat all kind of evil and he was never defeat -- like the super leyend El SantoWhy mexicans wrestler use a mask?
Because they hide their human part and is a show, tell me who would you cheer more 驴the normal Mexican Juan Perez? or 驴the awesome silver Mistico?... Mistico is the choice.





We think they are heroes (only at the ring... ) and they look more spectacular, that way.





Also they can have a normal life and walk as any human on street without being harassed by fans.





I think you saw a lot of El Santo and Blue Demon old movies.Why mexicans wrestler use a mask?

some ';mexican'; or latin american wrestlers wear masks because of their traditions and their roots to other wrestlers. In mexico, they actually keep the traditional good vs. evil wrestling gimick so you see the masks...





there were actually some mask vs. mask matches in wcw mostly...rey mysterio was in a mask vs mask match and he lost so he had to go without his mask which was done really good because i think he turned heel...then psycosis did the same thing...he had a match and he lost so he lost his mask and turned heel...then juventud guerrera same thing...





some did good with the mask and others did better without...

i still think Juventud, Rey, Psycosis and even Super Crazy are good masked wrestlers.
I didn't read the whole thing so I'll just say that Mexican wrestlers (except ray mistero) are awesome
I guess its just the gimmicks they have.... Supercrazy used to where a mask sometimes in the indys but now he dont!
