its a movie you would show to a junior high choir class. I used to love it but I know it isn't called phantom of the opera. The man lives alone in his castle (I remember very little because it was so long) and this girl comes along and he starts giving her singing lessons. He wears half a mask and he has to walk around with a cane because he was burnt (actually I don't know what the reason is, I just remember his face was greenish and deformed and he limped when he walked and he walked with a cane) and he was got amde alot at the girl. (its sort of a mixture between phantom of the opera and beauty and the beastWhat is the movie that is like ';Phantom of the opera';? the man wears half a mask because of his face was burnt?

IMDb synopsis:


Things are not going well in the Depression-era town of Castle Gate. Mr. Ribaldi (Joseph Paur), a mysterious rich man with a disfigured face and an abrasive personality, has just bought and moved into a long-vacant mansion. Bonnie (Ivey Lloyd), an adolescent girl who loves to sing, ends up working for Ribaldi so that her family can stay in their house. But Ribaldi is quite an accomplished musician himself, and he is soon giving Bonnie voice lessons. Meanwhile, local businesses are being shut down by foreclosures, and the townspeople suspect Ribaldi is responsible.

I loved that movie, it made me cry when I saw it.


But, yes, it was very Phantom of the Opera-esque.
