No nothing works when a female is in heat! You have to watch her like a hawk and keep her inside and if she is to go out side you go with her while she is on a leash!
There is nothing to mask that smell. Males can smell a females in heat for miles if the wind in right!

But don't rely on it to keep her safe from males.
You have to start far in advance.. It doesn't mask the smell entirely.. You still need to keep her away from males.
