Female mask costume ideas?

So I'm supposed to go to a costume/pool party but I have no clue about the costume. I want to surprise people (since I haven't seen them in a while) and have them not know who I am right away (plus also trying to avoid people I know will be there and hiding behind a mask is perfect to hide in plain sight). But I also want to look nice/cute. Anyone have ideas on what I can do for a costume?Female mask costume ideas?
In Renaissance days, they use to have masquerades.





The women wore these beautiful, corset dresses.





Do your make-up beautifully.


Keep a fan at hand that you can hide your face with.


Then a gold mask over your eyes/forehead. Even decorate it with a few feathers/jewels.








You can do other ideas, like be a angel/fairy with a mask over your face.


Or a can-can girl/ saloon girl
