What can i do to mask a female dogs scent?

my mother-in-law is desperate to find a home remedy to mask her female dogs scent..she is in heat and her male dog won't leave the female alone...and he is also fighting with another male dog....ive heard of febreeze and vicks rub on the hair around the females ';place';and/or on the tail..we just dont know what else to do..can someone help pleaseWhat can i do to mask a female dogs scent?
Nothing masks that scent.

Males can smell that for miles.

Dog groom and it is not safe to put things on them that they could ingest.

Separate the dogs until the female is out of heat. That means all the males must also be separated. They will fight otherwise.

It sounds like a spay would be in order after this heat. What can i do to mask a female dogs scent?
There is NO home remedy other than to crate and separate or to let you take the male or the female til she its out of heat. Do NOT put either of those items on your dog - HELLO DOG'S LICK THEMSELVES.

Your MIL should have some common sense and had her female spayed, then she wouldn't be having this problem.
LMFAO.

Nothing...I repeat...NOTHING will mask that scent. A dog's olfactory sense is much much stronger than that of humans....and a male dog can smell a b*tch in heat from miles away. No amount of Fabreeze of Vicks would help the situation, and it could be harmful to the dog if ingested while self grooming.

The ONLY solution? Spay and neuter.
Impossible!

When she completes her heat cycle, give her a good bath, but the scent is impossible to mask.

Also, do the right thing and keep the male and female apart.
The only way to mask the scent is to have the dogs desexed.

Quite simple and easy when you think about it! :) Saves wasting money on frebreeze and vicks.
Neuter the male now. Spay the female after her season.
You can't do anything to mask the scent except to have her spayed!
Spay her and all problems are solved!
