Mexican wrestling masks?

I just wanted to know if mexican wrestlers still wear thier masks in public like they did in the past (just like Nacho libre)?Mexican wrestling masks?
No, the mexican mask is surpirsing looked upon as a honour for example, when a wrestler loses his/her mask in match they are usually not allowed to wear there mask again, the only person who has rewore there mask since losing it has been rey mysterio who expected to be looked down upon by his fellow contrymen but was actually strangely well loved still.Mexican wrestling masks?

Yes so that the cops cant identify them and take them back to jail.
Some do some dont. It all depends on how serious they are about keeping there identity hidden and how much the mask means to them. For example rey wheres it whenever doing wwe promotional stuff, but in his own privaste things and other things like a vid i saw i while ago, cant remember the subject, hhe was unmasked talking and being called rey etc. So he basically mainly wears cos wwe want him to for merchandise reasons. I think he lost his need/want to wear a mask when he was unmasked in wcw. He didnt want to do it but bischoff made him and now he doenst really seem to care outside of wrestling and wwe.
The only Mexican wrestler I know that still does it Rey Misterio Sr.


Other than that I think all the others don't wear them outside of events.


Rey Mysterio certainly does'nt wear one in the street.
